Dub vs. Sub Review:
DBZ:  The Trunks Special

Voice Acting

Japanese - The Japanese cast lives up to their usual standard of excellence.

English - The English VAs actually did a pretty good job in this one.  I like the voices of Trunks, Mirai Gohan, and the twins...all the major characters.  The only thing I can complain about was the scene when Trunks found Gohan's body....the dub version just lacked the emotion that made the Japanese version so powerful.

Music

The music was above (dub) average...with the exception of one scene, it was all fairly easy to listen to.  The exception is the scene when Gohan gives Trunks his last Senzu...they played some annoying rap song.  It really didn't fit the scene.

Dialogue Translation

The dialogue translation on the Trunks Special was also above (dub) average, though not as good as it could have been.

Important Names

There wasn't much to rename....

Plot

They actually left the plot alone.

Censorship

Based on the dub version I saw, there was very little censorship.

Violence - No censorship
Nudity
- None
Sexual Situations
- None
Profanity
- They removed the cursing
Mature Ideas/Issues
- None

Kat's Opinion

I prefer the subtitled version.  While the dub was decently done, it could use some improvement.
