Plot Summary
(May contain spoilers.  You've been warned!)

Randy "Ryo" McLane and Dee Laytner are a pair of detectives in the NYPD.  They're partners on the job, and possibly more...or, at least, Dee hopes so. ^^  The story follows them through trials at work, and in their personal lives.  Think manga-style NYPD Blue, here.  From fairly early on, Dee is interested in Ryo...though, Ryo isn't exactly comfortable with this (at least not right away).  Their 'will they or won't they' relationship is the driving force of the plot.

Objectionable Material

Violence - There's a decent amount of death and blood in this series, given the nature of the main characters' jobs.  Nothing insanely graphic, but it is there.
Nudity - None that I remember
Sexual Situations - Dee spends almost the entire series jumping Ryo, though there's nothing more graphic than some heated kissing for most of the series...even later, when it's obvious that things go further, you don't really see anything.
Profanity - Almost all the characters are either cops, or criminals...so, yeah...there's cursing.
Mature Ideas/Issues - First and foremost, I'll say this:  This is a yaoi/shounen ai title.  That means that two men in a romantic relationship.  So, if that gets your knickers in a twist, stay away from this title.  Other than that, there are the issues of corruption, and other such things that you encounter in most police dramas.

Kat's Rating

I love this title.  I first picked it up 'cause I love police dramas, and I'm not exactly averse to yaoi (heck, I'm a fangirl, now...and this series certainly helped with that!)  The characters have good background, and are really likeable...even the more annoying ones, like JJ. ^^;;  I really like the way the mangaka writes dialogue...there are plenty of humorous moments, along with the serious, or romantic ones.  Also, I really like the art...it's a little rough in the first volume or so, but once she settles into her style (which really doesn't take long), it's nice.  I also like that she managed to make both Dee and Ryo masculine...often, when dealing with yaoi, one of the guys ends up kinda feminine (in either looks or attitude), but she managed to avoid that.  As long as you can handle yaoi, I say definitely check this title out!
